Gold RT	Real Time (Voice)	Low latency & jitter, minimal packet loss.	Voice – Typically, VoIP and telephony based applications
Gold nrt	Mission critical – interactive	Controlled delay applications	Video conferencing. Video also uses large packets.
Silver nrt 3	Transactional	Applications require low throughput, but controlled response time.	Credit card transactions, EFTPOS, SNA terminal to host transactions, ERP, SAP, Oracle
Silver nrt 2	Transactional – Latency Sensitive	Applications require high throughput, long lived TCP flows.	Business applications, such as Microsoft Exchange, Lotus Notes.
